Dr. Christina Wade, Psy.D
Dr. Christina Wade is a psychological associate specializing in pediatric neuropsychology. She earned her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and completed her doctoral internship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She has also completed advanced training in the scientific study of brain-behavior relationships in a variety of clinical settings including Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Harbor Regional Center, STAR of CA, Memphis Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, and the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities.
Dr. Wade conducts evidence-based neuropsychological and psychological assessments in individuals presenting with a range of psychological, neurodevelopmental, and medical factors. She has participated in research examining executive functioning in adults with sickle cell disease, leukemia in individuals with Down syndrome, neurocognitive outcomes in tumors of the central nervous system, attention in children with neurofibromatosis, impact of congenital heart disease on development in early childhood, and the interaction between autism spectrum disorder and optic nerve hypoplasia, among many other projects. She has worked amongst an interdisciplinary team of medical and mental health professionals as well as community partners including school districts, to collaborate on implementing appropriate service delivery in a variety of settings.
Through her intensive training, Dr. Wade has developed specialities in providing neuropsychological and psychological assessments to individuals with various oncological, hematological, genetic, and developmental factors. More specifically she is skilled at providing assessments across all neuropsychological domains: general intellectual functioning, attention & executive functioning, language, learning & memory, non-verbal skills, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning. She is also available for assessment when concerns arise for conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, attention-deficit/hyperactive disorder, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and social-emotional functioning.
