Psychological evaluations for attorneys

Dr. Nazarian works as a forensic psychological evaluator, not simply a therapist who accepts legal referrals. All legal work sits on this one page, in two separate pathways: personal injury evaluations, and workers' compensation QME and AME evaluations.

Pathway 1: Personal injury

Scope, when supported by findings:

Psychological injury and current functioning

Functional limitations

Preexisting conditions

Causation and prognosis

Future treatment recommendations, when supported

Symptom validity testing only where indicated. Formal cognitive testing is not promised in every evaluation.

What to submit: referral question, relevant medical and legal records, and contact details for scheduling.

Fees & liens: Fees and any lien arrangements require written approval before work begins. Nothing is assumed from an initial inquiry.

For retaining counsel

Typical turnaround: 2 to 3 weeks from receipt of complete records to written report.

Testimony: Available for deposition and trial testimony.

Case types: Motor vehicle, premises liability, employment and harassment, assault, and wrongful death claims.

Records: Records may be sent by email to Bita@FamilyTherapyLA.com. Encrypted email is preferred.

Geography: Evaluations conducted by secure video throughout California, or in person in West Los Angeles.

Pathway 2: Workers' compensation (QME / AME)

Qualified Medical Evaluator services and availability as an Agreed Medical Evaluator in psychological workers' compensation matters, conducted under DWC rules.

Consistent with Labor Code §4062.3, communications regarding an active panel QME case are limited to scheduling and service of records. This site does not invite discussion of the merits or substance of an active case.

To inquire: Call 818-512-2172 for scheduling and records matters.

Attorney inquiries: 818-512-2172 · Bita@FamilyTherapyLA.com. Referring a private client for therapy, rather than an evaluation, is covered in the Referral Partners section below.

Refer a client, in one step

For either pathway, scheduling begins once the referral question and the relevant records are received.
