Clinical Depth. Individualized Care.

Meaningful psychotherapy begins with understanding the individual, not simply identifying symptoms. Dr. Nazarian approaches treatment with careful clinical assessment, attention to the patterns underlying emotional distress, and a collaborative process shaped by each client's history, relationships, and circumstances.

Two paths. Two very different purposes.

Therapy and forensic evaluation answer different questions, follow different rules, and should never be blurred.

Why privacy changes the work itself

People speak differently when they trust where their words go. Privacy here is not an amenity. It is the condition that makes honesty possible.

No handoffs

You are not matched by an algorithm or passed between clinicians. The psychologist you consult is the psychologist you work with, from the first conversation onward.

Utmost discretion

No insurance claim is filed, so no insurance record of your care is created. Communication is handled personally and kept to the minimum necessary.

Built around your life

Virtual sessions across California, scheduled around demanding calendars, multiple residences, and travel.

How It Begins

Beginning, thoughtfully designed

In a world of automated everything, beginning here is deliberately human, and deliberately simple. Once you become a client, intake forms and documents are handled through her secure TherapyNotes client portal.

Make an inquiry

Call 818-512-2172 or write via the contact page. Your inquiry is read and answered by Dr. Nazarian herself, never by a service.

What brings you, whether the fit is right, and the practicalities (scheduling, communication, and fees) discussed openly.

Begin, on your terms

Sessions are scheduled around your calendar, your travel, and your residences, always with Dr. Nazarian.

Questions, Answered Plainly

Questions worth asking first

Will anyone know I am in therapy?

Because no insurance claim is filed, no insurance record of your care is created. Nothing about your care is shared without your written consent, except in the limited circumstances California law requires, which Dr. Nazarian reviews with you at the outset.

Can someone inquire on my behalf?

Yes. Attorneys, concierge physicians, family offices, and executive coaches regularly make the first contact for the people they advise. See Attorney.

What does it cost?

Fees for ongoing therapy are discussed privately during the first consultation and are not published on this site.

Is virtual therapy as real as being in the room?

For most people, yes. Sessions are held by secure video, at full length, from wherever you are in California: a residence, an office, between them.

I travel constantly. Can therapy keep up?

Sessions are scheduled around demanding calendars, multiple residences, and time on the road, and the rhythm of the work is agreed with you rather than imposed by a clinic timetable.

How soon can we begin?

Availability varies. You do not need to be in crisis to inquire. The first step is the inquiry: call 818-512-2172 or write to Bita@FamilyTherapyLA.com, and you will hear back from Dr. Nazarian herself.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Appointments canceled with less than 24 business hours' notice are charged the full fee. Full policy on the Consult page.

The first step is a conversation

Begin with a consultation request, in your own words. Dr. Nazarian reads and answers every inquiry herself, and the psychologist you first speak with is the one who continues the work with you.
